Windu’s new theatrical musical show
WINDUVISION is the new large-scale musical and scenic show by Windu, designed for auditoriums and theaters, featuring the most ambitious and extensive artistic and technical team we’ve ever had. In this show, we aim to achieve a complete fusion between music and stage, a concept that has forced us to change our working habits and step out of our comfort zone to meet the goals we set as a group the first day we met.
We, the members of Windu, love music and the stage, and this time we’ve wanted to break away more than ever from the typical classical music concert format. For this reason, WINDUVISION will be a show where aspects such as dramaturgy, lighting, choreography, costumes, and scenography will play very important, energetic, and relevant roles. All to surprise people and send them home with the feeling of having seen and enjoyed a unique, attractive, and very original show.
WINDUVISION is the most ambitious and participatory show with the audience that we have done so far. It is a reinvention of the concert concept that brings us closer to the stage world and will delight both young and old with an innovative approach that will surprise and captivate the audience from the first moment until the end of the performance.
Additionally, musically the group takes a step further with a set of pieces and arrangements created specifically for the show, mixing ancient music works with new compositions and surprises; a fun and 100% Windu musical approach that in some cases will be accompanied by attractive electronic bases to surprise and thrill the audience at all times.
WINDUVISION is a vibrant, energetic, fun show with original arrangements of good music, touches of humor, and a lot of complicity with the audience; an unbeatable cocktail that will undoubtedly draw smiles, lift the spirits of the attendees, and make them want to enjoy music and life with more joy.
WINDUVISION is here.
Let the show begin!
Windu is an international recorder quartet that offers innovative performances, combining classical and contemporary music with touches of humor and absurd comedy. Their theatricalized concerts are suitable for all audiences and ages.
Winduvision is the title of an unfinished documentary about recorders, designed to bring old music to new audiences. When the director and crew abandon the project, the members of Windu decide to complete it during their performance, with the audience’s help.
With conflicting ideas about the direction the film should take—playful, artistic, historical, or educational— Windu faces the question: Can a documentary from the National Recorder Association be as boring as a National Geographic one about penguins?
Halfway between a concert, a historical documentary, and a theatrical show, Winduvision offers a didactic and fun look at what would be the rise and fall of a pop group but transported to the world of classical music.
The beginnings of the Windu members, the relationship with their former teachers, the craftsmanship of the luthiers who make their instruments, achievements and failures, ego struggles, and a love story within the group, and the mafia-like and multimillion-dollar industry of recorders for primary schools are the ingredients of a deliberately misinformed documentary that will stir up the history of ancient music and the origins of this instrument.

ÁLEX MARTÍN
Electronic bases
With an already impressive career behind him, Alex Martín has become a point of reference in the electronic music scene. The Barcelona-based producer is one of the most internationally-renowned Spanish artists in club music, an exceptional achievement when the lack of open calls for national productions in this musical field is considered. Alex has collaborated with a long list of names for prestigious European labels, such as F:Communications, Pagoda, Playhouse, Klang, Pod and Hypnotism.
For the French label run by Laurent Garnier, Alex, under the name of Iberian, edited a series of EPs which explored danceable electronic music. At the British label, Pagoda, he mixed an irresistible cocktail of tech house and electronic breaks.
Alex began his Phat Db project at the label, Playhouse, while at Klang Pod and Hypnotism, he began to cultivate his electronic side under the names, Sideral and Earcluod. He has an impressive recording history for national labels such as as Cosmos, Boozo, Minifunk and his own label, Higlamm. With Higlamm, he edited material for two of his best-known projects, Full Duplex, groovy house with disco aromas which featured Mayte S, and Phat DB, a project which saw him unleash his techno side. Alex’s impressive CV, as well as his impeccable work for Cosmos, truly distinguishes him from other national artists.
